Dynamic Woman — Changing Times

I miss bookstores

What my e-Reader allows me to do
  1.   Take reading options on vacation and still have room in my tote to bring home souvenirs.
  2. Send a clear message to the woman with the fat purse in the middle seat that I am in no mood to exchange photographs of the grandchildren.
  3. Impress people in church with my skill at finding 2 Chronicles 7:14 before the preacher moves to the next verse.

What my e-Reader does not allow me to do

  1. Run my finger along a glossy book cover and feel the embossed image.
  2. Admire a beautiful font nestled in a creamy page.
  3. Rub elbows with fellow readers: Take a peek at the reading tastes of the woman wearing the periwinkle scarf with a bitter orange thread woven through it as she reaches for a hardback in the New Fiction section, or notice a catchy title on a book lying on a bistro table next to a steaming cup of cappuccino and ask the university student about it.

I miss bookstores!
